Developed in collaboration with Video West Live Scoring founder Seth Petit, the platform delivers an enhanced online experience designed to make it easier than ever for members, exhibitors, and fans to follow the action both in and out of the show pen.
In addition to livestream coverage, the platform offers integrated features that allow users to easily navigate draws, monitor classes, track results, and stay connected throughout an event. The enhanced functionality provides a comprehensive event experience while maintaining the simplicity and accessibility users have come to expect from NCHA livestream coverage.
Importantly, the platform will remain completely free to access and use for all members and fans. Users will continue to access livestream coverage through the same NCHA Live link available on the NCHA website homepage, event pages, and official social media channels, ensuring a seamless transition to the new platform.
"This decision was not made overnight. It was the result of years of evaluation, planning, and discussions about how we can best serve our members and position the Association for the future," said Jay Winborn, NCHA Executive Director. "Video West Live Scoring provides an improved experience for exhibitors, owners, and fans while giving the NCHA greater control over a platform that has become an important part of how our members engage with the Association and our events."
While the viewing platform is changing, the webcast production itself will remain the same. Livestream coverage will continue to be produced by Equine Network, ensuring the same high-quality broadcast experience members and fans have come to expect from NCHA-produced events.
The content featured throughout NCHA webcasts, including event coverage, promotional videos, and sponsored segments, will continue to be produced by NCHA. Likewise, advertisers and sponsors featured during broadcasts will experience no changes. For the past five years, those relationships have been managed directly by NCHA and will continue to be handled in the same manner moving forward.
The transition to Video West Live Scoring reflects a long-term strategic effort by the NCHA to enhance the member experience while maintaining ownership and control of the Association’s digital content and technology resources.
As the content featured on NCHA livestreams is generated through member participation and NCHA-produced events, the Association believes revenue generated from those assets should ultimately benefit the membership. Revenue opportunities associated with the platform will support NCHA programs, promotional efforts, and future initiatives that strengthen the sport of cutting.
The decision follows years of evaluation and planning focused on identifying a solution that would provide a more streamlined user experience while allowing the Association greater control over a service that has become increasingly important to members. The NCHA believes the new platform offers a cleaner, more intuitive experience for users while positioning the Association to better serve its membership and continue investing in the future of the organization and the sport.
Petit introduced the platform to members during the 2026 NCHA Annual Convention, where he provided a live demonstration of the site's features and functionality. During the presentation, he encouraged members to download the Video West Live Scoring mobile app, which offers convenient access to livestreams, draws, results, and event information directly from a mobile device.
Petit stated, “We are proud to continue the tradition of providing state of the art technology for the cutting horse industry.”
Members and fans can experience the new platform beginning with the 2026 NCHA Great American Insurance Group Summer Cutting Spectacular.
