NCHA ANNOUNCES TODD DRUMMOND AWARD RECIPIENTS

Dec 5, 2025, 10:41 AM by National Cutting Horse Association
Congratulations to Tate LeBlanc, Madison Tyler, and Codie Raffield the 2025 Todd Drummond Award recipients.

FORT WORTH – The National Cutting Horse Association (NCHA) is proud to announce Tate LeBlanc, Madison Tyler, and Codie Raffield as the 2025 Todd Drummond Award recipients.

These outstanding youth competitors will be formally recognized during the Open Semi-Finals of the 2025 NCHA Metallic Cat World Championship Futurity on December 6, 2025, inside the John Justin Arena.

Each year, NCHA affiliates across the country nominate one exceptional youth member whose character, dedication, and involvement set them apart. The Todd Drummond Award honors individuals who excel academically, actively contribute to their communities, and demonstrate a deep commitment to the sport of cutting.

The award—named in memory of Todd Drummond—reflects values rooted in responsibility, leadership, and the spirit of giving back. This year’s recipients exemplify those ideals through their strong scholastic achievements, involvement in extracurricular activities, and unwavering passion for the cutting horse industry. Whether balancing schoolwork with early morning chores, volunteering in their local communities, or dedicating countless hours to improving their horsemanship, each honoree carries forward the traditions and integrity of the NYCHA.

From supporting their affiliates at local events to embracing the work ethic required both inside and outside of the arena, Tate, Madison, and Codie represent the future of the association in the best possible way. Their efforts remind us that the next generation of cutters is not only talented—but also compassionate, driven, and committed to growing the sport they love.

“Recognizing Tate, Madison, and Codie with the Todd Drummond Award is a privilege,” said Jay Winborn, NCHA Executive Director. “The NCHA and NYCHA remain dedicated to fostering sportsmanship, confidence, and leadership among our youth. This award reflects the impact these young individuals have on our community and the example they set for others coming up behind them. We are proud to honor their hard work and dedication.”
