NCHA Foundation announces a 10-year/$100,000,00 commitment from Starr Whitley and Whitley Ranch to fund additional scholarships awarded to the top three Senior Finalists during the NCHA Foundation Scholarship Cutting.

FORT WORTH - The NCHA Foundation is excited to announce a 10-year/$100,000.00 commitment from Starr Whitley and Whitley Ranch of Brenham, Texas, supporting the NCHA Foundation Scholarship Cutting. The generous contribution will be dedicated to the Champion, Reserve Champion, and third-place finishers in the Senior Youth Division of the NCHA Foundation Scholarship Cutting. This substantial contribution will significantly impact the top three seniors participating in the NCHA Foundation Senior Scholarship Cutting by awarding an additional $5,000.00, $3,000.00 & $2,000.00 in scholarship funds.

Of the new partnership, NCHA Foundation director, Julia Buswold said, “We are honored to have Whitley Ranch & Starr Whitley join us in our commitment to ensuring that NYCHA members have the funds available to achieve their educational goals outside of the cutting arena. By increasing the awarded scholarship totals, we are not only investing in their futures but also in the future of our sport. Our youth members are the future of the NCHA!”

“Whitley Ranch & Starr Whitley value contribution to the NCHA YOUTH who will lead with meaning and purpose in their futures. Our contribution to the youth scholarship is unwaveringly inspirational, providing a solid educational path for young riders toward what they want to be, do, and have in life. Live with grace, integrity, love and wisdom.” - WHITLEY RANCH

The inaugural Youth Scholarship Cutting took place in 1990 with 75 entries and $11,000.00 in scholarships awarded across the Junior and Senior Divisions. Today, the NCHA Foundation Scholarship Cutting boasts over 150 entries and now annually awards $40,000.00 in scholarships! Since the program’s inception, well over half a million dollars in scholarships have been awarded.
