FORT WORTH – The National Cutting Horse Association (NCHA) is deeply saddened by the loss of TJ Vance, age 44, of Inavale, Nebraska. Vance was a long-time NCHA member since 1991 and was an AAA Judge. A lifetime Cutting Horse of Nebraska member, Vance will be missed by all who knew him.
He is leaving behind his wife Tara and two sons, Trey and Tanner. He is also leaving behind his mother and father, Bonna and Larry, and brother Cody, as well as many close immediate family members and friends. The entire Vance family is next to none, and the communities of Webster County will mourn his loss for many days and months ahead.
His son Trey is a recent 2024 graduate and also qualified for the NHSR finals in cutting. Trey is a legacy to the cutting arena, competing at the high school rodeo level for the past four years, following and learning from his father, TJ and his grandfather, Larry Vance. The Vance name is a legendary name in the cutting world.
The entire cutting horse community is deeply saddened by the loss of Vance and sends prayers to his family.
Funeral services will be 10:30 am, Monday, July 22, 2024, at the Bladen Elementary Gymnasium with the Rev. Michelle Loeffholz officiating. (Please note that Western Attire is requested.) The interment will be at the Harmony Cemetery.
