FORT WORTH – The National Cutting Horse Association (NCHA) is thrilled to announce that the NCHA Foundation will donate $90,000 to the National Youth Cutting Horse Association (NYCHA) for its annual Life After the Arena Event. The $90,000 will be distributed over the next three years (2024-2027).
The National Youth Cutting Horse Association's Life After the Arena program offers a comprehensive full-day seminar featuring speakers, professionals from renowned industry brands, interactive workshops, and special entertainment. While the Western industry boasts a wealth of opportunities, these seminars aim to inspire all youth to explore their passions and career paths. The 2024 NYCHA Life After the Arena event will take place on Tuesday, July 23, alongside the Great American Insurance Group Summer Cutting Spectacular and hosted by Holy Cow Performance Horses in Fort Worth, Texas. We anticipate another enriching day of educational insights for the future leaders of our industry.
"The NCHA Foundation is honored to announce our unwavering commitment to supporting the NYCHA,” states Julia Buswold, NCHA Foundation Director. “We are deeply invested in empowering our youth members with the resources required to thrive both in and out the arena, and this program does just that.”
“Rianna's spearheading of the Life After the Arena program has been commendable, and we are delighted to pledge our support to enhance these efforts further. Together, we aim to foster a brighter future for our youth, equipping them with the tools they need for success in every facet of life,” said Buswold.
“The National Youth Cutting Horse Association is grateful for the NCHA Foundation and their support of the NYCHA Life After the Arena program, which is dedicated to enriching the lives of our youth beyond the arena. Our mission is to cultivate well-rounded citizens, equipping them with the tools for success in all endeavors. Through scholarships and educational initiatives such as the NYCHA Life After the Arena seminars, we empower our members to pursue their dreams with confidence," explained Rianna Storey, the NCHA Director of Youth.
"We are thrilled to announce the additional funding for the NYCHA Life After the Arena program. This initiative is close to our hearts, and with this support, we can significantly enhance our efforts to prepare our young members for success, both within the cutting horse community and in their future endeavors. It's a testament to our commitment to the growth and development of our youth, and we're excited to see how this program evolves with this generous contribution,” stated Jay Winborn, Executive Director of the NCHA.
