FORT WORTH – Each year the National Cutting Horse Association is proud to announce the Todd Drummond Memorial Award, celebrating an outstanding Youth member. For the 2023 year, the NCHA would like to present Emma Rapp for this prestigious award. Rapp will be recognized during the 2023 Metallic Cat World Championship Futurity and presented with a custom buckle.
Born into the cutting horse world, Rapp has grown up loving the sport. Her showing career began when she was 9 years old, and by 11, she competed in her first World Finals. Overall, she has made 6 NCHA Youth World Finals and won the Championship title in 2022. Currently, Rapp is the NYCHA Area Director where she uses her leadership skills to guide and promote cutting in the youth industry.
“I am very honored to have even been nominated, let alone be receiving this award. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity that I am very grateful to have” said Rapp. Her plans are to show in the Non-Pro and attend Tarleton State University in the Fall of 2024 where she will pursue an Ag Business degree.
“The NCHA strives to find and encourage all Youth members in and out of the arena. We are thrilled to present Emma Rapp as the 2023 Todd Drummond Memorial Award Recipient for her hard work and involvement within the NCHA and congratulate her in her endeavors” said Executive Director Jay Winborn.
