NCHA ANNOUNCES ADDED MONEY TO WEEKEND AND TRIPLE CROWN EVENTS
FORT WORTH – The National Cutting Horse Association (NCHA) is delighted to announce the addition of $400,000 in added money to the upcoming 2023 NCHA Great American Insurance Summer Cutting Spectacular payout and $300,000 in added money to the future NCHA National Circuit Program championship show that will take place in 2024.
The $400,000 added will be allocated between each of the divisions of the 2023 NCHA Great American Insurance Summer Cutting Spectacular, including the Open, Non-Pro, and Amateur classes.
Additionally, the NCHA National Circuit Program continues to see growth in participation across the board, now in the program’s third year. A national circuit championship is in development to begin in 2024, and the $300,000 in added money will directly benefit this show and its competitors from the program’s 14 circuits.
“NCHA is thrilled to continue to grow and support the funding and payouts of our own events across all levels,” said Jay Winborn, NCHA executive director. “Cutting continues to grow as the pinnacle of Western performance sports, and the increased entries in our shows throughout all levels are reflecting that growth. This added money will be a tremendous benefit to competitors and owners alike, and we are looking forward to seeing continued growth at the upcoming Summer Spectacular and in the future NCHA circuit championship show.”
The 2023 NCHA Great American Insurance Summer Cutting Spectacular is tentatively scheduled for July 15 through August 4, 2023, in Fort Worth, Texas. The first entry payment is due on April 20, 2023.
