NCHA announces a scholarship in memoriam of Milt Bradford

NATIONAL CUTTING HORSE ASSOCIATION ANNOUNCES THE MILT BRADFORD HERITAGE OF RANCHING/AGRICULTURE MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

FORT WORTH – The National Cutting Horse Association (NCHA) is proud to announce the Milt Bradford Heritage of Ranching/Agriculture Memorial Scholarship to be awarded to four recipients during the 2021 Youth Convention Award Banquet held in conjunction with the 2021 NCHA Metallic Cat Summer Cutting Spectacular in Fort Worth, Texas.

This scholarship is named in honor of long time NCHA member and Western Bloodstock Ltd. co-founder, Milt Bradford. Bradford found his love of horses and cattle as a teenager, and he spent the remainder of his life pursing these passions and supporting the Western industries.

The memorial scholarship will be awarded to four recipients who are planning on attending or are currently attending a college, university, or trade school with an emphasis on continuing the heritage of ranching and agriculture for the Fall 2021 semester.

“With a declining trend in the agriculture and ranching industries, it is important to support our youth that plan to work in these fields,” said Mike Simmons, NCHA director of youth. “In doing so, we can ensure that the future of agriculture and ranching remains strong.”

Recipients will be selected based on academic accomplishment, extracurricular activities and leadership experience. Applicants must be an NCHA member of good standing. The deadline to apply is July 6, 2021.
