Catolena Cashin LTE $83,680, owned by Joel Colgrove, posted a combined score of 444 points under Tarin Rice on Tuesday, March 30, to top the qualifying field of 47 horses, with combined go-round scores of 433 or higher, for the NCHA Kit Kat Sugar Super Stakes Open Semi-Finals. NCHA Futurity champion All Spice LTE $304,315, with Adan Banuelos for the Holmes and Hill Partnership, was second with 441 points, while Stars Copper Cat LTE $16,395, under Grant Setnicka for J Five Horse Ranch, and Sueper Hot LTE $51,503, with Beau Galyean for Dottie St. Clair Hill, tied with 440 points.

Catolena Cashin In, by Reyzin The Cash, won the first go-round with 225 points, while All Spice, by Once In A Blue Boon, posted 222, that go-round’s third highest score. The Hottish gelding Sueper Hot, who came into the second go-round with 217, topped the second go-round with 223 points, while Stars Copper Cat, by High Brow Cat, tallied 440 with go-round scores of 221 and 219 points.

The 2021 NCHA Kit Kat Sugar Super Stakes continues through Saturday, April 17, when the top 6/7-Year-Old, 5-Year-Old, and 4-Year-Old Open qualifiers compete in their respective finals.
