Clarification on the upcoming Executive Committee meeting.

Dear NCHA Members,

It has come to my attention from several members that there is some confusion about an EC meeting being held on this coming Thursday, September 12th. There were two proposals voted on at the August EC meeting, the first being the limiting of horses in the open for both weekend and LAE events and the second was a proposal by the non-pro committee to combine the amateur and the non-pro classes and have just one class based on money earned. The first proposal limiting the horses passed and the second one was voted on and tabled to be sent to the competition committee for vetting. Since that time there have been many many comments made by numerous members about both issues. We have had 8 regional meetings with directors and their EC member discussing the limiting horse proposal. Many social media posts, numerous emails, texts, and phone calls have been received by all the EC members and some of the staff including Kirk Slaughter our Executive Director asking about the non-pro proposal, therefore I felt it was my responsibility and duty to call a special meeting to give the EC members an opportunity to address both of these issues based on their personal conversations and contacts with the members who took the time to voice their opinion to them. This is the entire reason for the meeting and I will make sure that the minutes of that meeting be prepared as soon as possible so that they can be released to the membership.
