Dont Stopp Believin pulled out all the stops to win both the Open and the Non-Pro Finals of the 2018 All American Quarter Horse Congress Mercuria NCHA World Series of Cutting with matching scores of 226 points. Owned and shown by Phil and Mary Ann Rapp, Weatherford, Tex., the 7-year-old stallion, sired by Dual Rey out 2011 NCHA Open Horse of the Year Dont Look Twice $824,546, sailed well past $400,000 in earnings with a winnings total of $21,369 from the Congress Mercuria event.
Hashtags, the 5-year-old Metallic Cat son, who is leading the 2018 NCHA World standings under Tatum Rice for Hashtag Ventures LP, Weatherford, Tex., scored 222 points to earn $8,343, as Open reserve champion, while 6-year-old Ettafied, by High Brow CD, shown by Gabe Reynolds for Shaun O’Hearn, placed third with 214 points.

Phil Rapp, current president of NCHA, is cutting’s all-time leading money earner with $9,136,543. Mary Ann Rapp, with earnings of $4,602,271, is NCHA’s all-time leading woman and leading Non-Pro money earner. Together they have earned an all-time total of $13,738,814.
Lauren Middleton, Weatherford, Tex., claimed the reserve championship in the Non-Pro Finals with 221 points aboard 10-year-old Sweet Reyvenge, by Reys Dual Badger. Middleton, an NCHA Hall of Fame Inductee, has won two of her four Mercuria championships riding Sweet Reyvenge $178,074.
Mary Jo Milner, Southlake, Tex, took third in the Non-Pro with 220 points on 12-year-old Little Pepto Cat, by High Brow Cat. Milner, with a record eight NCHA World Championships, won her first Mercuria event in 2014 with Smooth Asa Zee at the Clagary Stampede. Little Pepto Cat was 2017 NCHA World Champion Open Gelding.
