Elizabeth Quirk, the earner of $607,662, is an NCHA Non-Pro Hall of Fame member and a former Senior Youth World Champion. Quirk counts her 2013 NCHA Futurity Non-Pro Finals ride aboard Son Of KD Elder as her top performance in terms of winnings, but she has earned money as a Non-Pro finalist in every major event. Most recently, she and Holmeboy won the 2017 Breeders Invitational Novice Non-Pro division.

Holmeboy LTE $20,385 was bred by Double Dove Ranch from one of cutting’s most richly productive female lines. His dam, Twice As Reycy LTE $194,141, reserve champion of the 2003 NCHA Futurity with Lloyd Cox, is the dam of six NCHA money earners of $504,859, including Reycy Moon LTE $209,363, and Holmeboy’s full brother, Pedel To The Metall LTE $155,937. Reycy Moon is the dam of 2016 NCHA Futurity Open champion Second Spot LTE $230,821.

In addition to Twice As Reycy, Holmeboy’s second dam, Rey Lena Girl, is also the dam of High Brow Cougar LTE $156,266 and Here to Reymember LTE $151,201. She is also a half-sister to Nurse Rey, dam of Dual Rey, leading sire of earners $34 million.

Ty Moore, also an NCHA Non-Pro Hall of Fame member and the earner of $811,413, was an NCHA Futurity Non-Pro finalist on One Good Lookin Babe LTE $34, 820, as well as on Smooth XTC, by Smooth As A Cat, who he also showed on Tuesday to score 216 points. Last week, Moore placed ninth in the NCHA Classic Challenge Non-Pro riding Set Fire To The Reyn.

Moore bred One Good Lookin Babe out of Hey Georgy Girl LTE $130,829, by Wild Thing DNA, who he showed to win the amateur championship of the 2008 Non-Pro Cutting, as well as several other major events.

Greg Coalson, an NCHA Non-Pro Hall of Fame member with earnings of $1,676,209, bred Juana Bet out of Tiajuanapep, by Dual Pep, a half-sister to Quejanaisalena LTE $329,571 and a full sister to Quejanapep LTE $202,060. Both Quejanaisalena and Quejanapep were bred, trained and shown by Coalson to earn Non-Pro championships and reserves in numerous major events, including the NCHA Futurity, the NCHA Super Stakes and the NCHA Derby.

Juana Bet LTE $9,464 carried Coalson as a 2017 NCHA Super Stakes Non-Pro semi-finalist, and as third-placed finalist in the Non-Pro Cutting.

The NCHA Derby Non-Pro/Limited Non-Pro first go-round continues tomorrow, Wednesday, August 2.
