Update regarding the Calgary Stampede Cutting Horse Competition: The Calgary Sta mpede is pleased to report that after working diligently over the past few days we have received positive news regarding the restrictions currently imposed on h orse affected by the recent VS outbreak. As of Friday, June 26 at approximately 10:30 am, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) contacted the Calgary Stamp ede regarding an update pertaining to Texas horses coming into Canada. Please s ee the attached document outlining the special previsions that must be followed in order for those horses competing in the 2009 Calgary Stampede Cutting Horse C ompetition to gain entry into Canada. We encourage those that have entered with horses that have been in Texas in the last month or are currently in Texas to co ntact our entries office as soon as possible.
