The NCHA would like to thank the owners of the following stallions for subscribing to the 2017 breeding year (2018 foals, 2022 show year):
The National Cutting Horse Association Stallion & Foal Program promotes cutting horse sires and offspring, while simultaneously generating added money for the Super Stakes & Super Stakes Classic. The current program, established in 2011, operates on a bifurcated approach whereby stallion owners subscribe their stallions annually, and foal owners nominate their foals, making them eligible to compete in the Super Stakes during their 4, 5, and 6 year-old years. The program has been wildly successful and has almost 15,000 nominated foals to date.
Fifteen percent of the Foal Nomination funds are used for foal nominator awards. Starting in 2017, fifteen percent of the Stallion Subscription funds will be used for sire awards. These awards are split equally between Open, Non Pro, Limited Non Pro, Unlimited Amateur and Amateur classes and pays the nominator of the foal for the top 7 places plus ties and the Subscriber of the Sire for the top 5 places plus ties in each class. The remaining Funds generated by the program, after administrative costs, are designated as Super Stakes added money for the respective foal crop’s four-year-old year.
The staff at the National Cutting Horse Association is committed to working with stallion owners and breeders to assist them with subscription and nomination information and deadlines. Anyone who is seeking more information about the program is encouraged to see Stallion-Foal Rules or contact the NCHA at email@example.com or by calling 817-244-6188.
